We are pleased to announce that, as of April 1st 2025, Web Werks will be known as Iron Mountain Data Centers.
Working together
Since Iron Mountain and Web Werks first set up a joint venture four years ago, we have worked as a single team to meet customer needs in both existing and new data centres across India. To help this happen, Iron Mountain’s investment in the business increased over the years to 100% ownership, and we are now ready to complete the integration of Web Werks within our global data centre business.
Rapid expansion
Iron Mountain’s data centre portfolio in India offers 14 MW of capacity across six data centres strategically located in five key Indian markets: Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Noida. Iron Mountain is actively developing three new campus locations situated in Mumbai, Chennai, and Noida. These sites collectively have nearly 152 MW of potential capacity, significantly enhancing capacity and ability to serve the burgeoning digital and AI needs of customers across the country.
Local leadership
Rajesh Tapadia has taken over the day-to-day direction of the data centre business in India as CEO. A hugely experienced veteran of the fast-expanding Indian hosting and colocation industry, Rajesh will work very closely with Arvind Subramanian, Managing Director of Iron Mountain in India.
Future plans
India is one of the fastest-growing markets for digital infrastructure, and Iron Mountain’s investment in world-class Indian operations will continue, with an ambitious pipeline of expansions, upgrades and service improvements.
