Iron Mountain Secure Breakdown Process
Videos and Webinars
Our breakdown process is a critical part of responsible IT asset disposition, adding an extra layer of data security by ensuring all data-bearing components are thoroughly sanitised or destroyed. Non-reusable devices are dismantled into raw materials such as copper, plastic, and aluminum and sent to R2/e-Stewards certified recyclers to minimise environmental impact. Meanwhile, functional components like memory are recovered and resold, maximising reuse and reducing waste.
